Below you will find some general information with a greater focus on what to expect once you have arrived in Spain. Topics include housing, opening a bank account, health insurance and securing your residency card. You will also find information on your role as a language assistant and the education system in Spain.

Please note that the information offered in these guides is pertinent to language assistants from all over the world and not specific to Canadian citizens. For example, you may find that some of the contact email addresses may be different. You should always refer to this website for contact information, as well as for information on applying to the program and for visas. You may also find that some terms in the guides may differ from the ones found on this website but you'll get the gist.

It is our sincere hope that you will find the information useful on your road to Spain and on how to become a fantastic language assistant at your school!
