The Language and Culture Assistants program is a well consolidated educational outreach initiative that the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in the US has implemented for more than 25 years. The impact of the program is very significant in the schools where the assistants have collaborated. The students have benefited tremendously from this exceptional help that boosts the improvement of the Spanish language skills and the knowledge of the Spanish culture. Spanish language and culture assistants have become a very valuable resource and are much appreciated in every school they are assigned.
In this video you will be able to discover what the language assistants themselves, the teachers, students, families, principals, and even a school district superintendent think about the experience and the impact of the program in their schools.
In the next video, created by Ángela Marín Ambrosio, one of our Spanish Language and Culture Assistants, you will be guided into her Spanish classroom at Tillicum Middle School in Bellevue, WA. You will also hear what the teacher she collaborates with and her host family think about the great addition of a Spanish assistant in their lives.
This video was created by Rebeca Pazos Bethencourt, another Spanish Language & Culture assistant. She shows how St. Paul's Episcopal Day School in Kansas City, MO, benefits from her presence at the school.
