Abstract

Modern sociologies of knowledge in present pedagogical discourse

After an introduction in which the transition from the traditional sociology of science to the current sociologies of scientific knowledge is presented, the paper analyzes the evolution that these themes have experienced after the institution, assimilation, development and criticism of ther work of Kuhn. The development and criticism of the work of Kuhn is based upon the different programmes that are part of the current sociologies of scientific knowledge: the "strong programme", the life of scientists in laboratories, the relativist programme, the constructionist programme and the "Sokal case".Salto de línea It is also shown that, although the "strong programme" (Barnes, Bloor, ...) is not successful because it presents some epistemological inconsistencies, however, it does lay down the framework for the appearnce of the relativist programme (Collin, Pinch, ...) and the constructivist programme (Latour, Woolgar, ...). The notion that pedagogy in social sciences and the sociologies of scientific knowledge are closely related to the framework adopted by the general social sciences is also upheld.
